April News
Dear Members,
Spring has sprung! The flowers are blooming. Trees are budding and the grass is growing. Traffic is starting to increase in our community too and soon, we will start being a little busier.
The “Celebrate Sugarcreek” dinner and awards ceremony is fast approaching. Tickets are on sale now and are available from the Marketing and Communications Committee as well as several locations throughout Sugarcreek. April 24 will be here before you know it, so get your tickets now and plan for a great evening of honoring those people who work hard to make Sugarcreek special.
The nice weather also brings with it thoughts of garage sales. Our community-wide sales are slated for May 7 and 8. Highlighting that same weekend is the Vintage Garden Tractor Show. There will be something for everyone that weekend. From what I hear there will be a chicken barbecue that weekend to benefit the Alpine Hills Historical Museum as well.
Plans are being finalized for the 20th annual Fabulous 50s Fling. New this year is a sponsorship program instead of donating for pies and trophies. There are three levels of sponsorship available to fit most any budget. The more you stend, the farther your advertising dollars will go for you. There will be more details about the sponsorship opportunities in an attachment to this newsletter from Jim Harrison and the 50s Committee.
We have Shasta Mast from the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce coming to speak with us in April as well as Dee Grossman from the Tuscarawas County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Plan to join us for lots of great information, food and prizes.
Until next month,
Cheryll Shireman
2010 SBA President
